This project is a modular digital signage system designed to display multiple content panes within a single screen interface. The layout includes dedicated sections such as a logo pane, real-time date and time display, weather forecast panel, motion graphic advertisement area, news feed section, YouTube video pane, and a dynamic ticker tape menu.
The system creates a unified information hub where all essential content is presented simultaneously in a structured and visually balanced layout, making it ideal for institutions and public environments.
The objective was to design and develop a multi-pane digital signage system capable of displaying diverse content types in real time while maintaining clarity and readability.
The key challenge was organizing multiple panels such as weather, news, ads, video, and ticker information within a single screen without clutter. Ensuring smooth updates for dynamic content like time, weather, and database-driven feeds while keeping performance optimized was also a major consideration.
The project started with designing a modular layout to accommodate different content sections such as weather, news, advertisements, and ticker feeds. Each module was developed independently and later integrated into a unified interface.
Backend functionality was implemented using PHP and MySQL to manage dynamic content, while JavaScript was used to fetch and update real-time data seamlessly.
The final deliverable is a fully functional digital signage system featuring multiple integrated panes including a logo display, real-time clock and date panel, weather forecast module, YouTube video playback section, news feed panel, motion graphic advertisement area, and a scrolling ticker tape for menu and announcements.
The system provides a scalable and dynamic solution for digital displays, enabling real-time communication, improved engagement, and efficient content management across institutional and commercial environments.
